| This
year has been a rough journey for me for many reasons.
But finally something good! 40 women traveled from all
of the United States to participate in Fitness Camp
Buffalo 2003. I was soon to learn that Fitness camp
was getting a name change to "Fat Camp", where
fat women go to fit camp to get in shape. I have to
disagree with them on this (as I giggle just thinking
about it). None of these women were even close to fat
nor out of shape. I was amazed by there beauty, courage,
and hard work. These were 40 of the toughest women I
have ever met. There were women as young as 48 and women
as young as 18. Half of them had no desire to ever compete
but were there to learn a better way of living and the
other half of them are dreaming of trophys. I think
they are all a success already and I thank each and
everyone one of them again for taking time in their
lives to focus on themselves and spend a weekend with
me. I truly have been blessed meeting each of them.
Hearing their stories has influenced me in ways they
will never know. Congrats to all of them for a job well
done and I have to name the next camps "Phat"
camp not "Fat" camp because You
all rocked.
I would also like to thank many people for helping make
Buffalo a success. Oxygen magazine for all their loyal
support.
ScreaminSpirit.com
for all there kick butt apparel. Michele Naylon for
her amazing organization and to her and her husband
for hosting a beautiful dinner party for all the women
at Jimmy Mac's in Buffalo. Mike Davies for teaching
me about fitness and helping me get as far in my career
as I have. Bulknutrition.com
for their donations for the give aways. Michele Naylon,
Trisha Rich, Sandy Zickau, Danielle Pitzo, and Dawnice
Dawnhour, for all their team work and wonderful friendship.
Your efforts were priceless, I can't thank you 5 enough.
I am currently booking 7 "Phat camps" for
2004 and would love to have continued success. Starting
in January we will be running camps all over the United
States and Canada. Keep checking jennyh.com
for more info and dates. If you currently do NOT receive
email updates on Jen's travels please send me an email
at jenhenfit2000@aol.com
and you will be added to the mailing list.
Thanks again!
U Rocked Ladies and
I hope to see you again in 2004!

Dear Jen,
I first took notice of you at the 2001 Fitness Olympia.
It was the first time I had attended a Pro event and
had the opportunity to witness one of your high-energy
routines. To say the least I was blown away. I remember
saying to my husband, "Who the heck was that?! She's
awesome!"
You are such an inspiration to me because you've worked
so hard to attain your awesome physique and your level
of success in the fitness industry. The article on you
in the November 2002 issue of Oxygen Magazine is a real
testament of what hard work and dedication can achieve.
However, most of all, I admire your efforts to give
back to the industry and help it grow by encouraging
others in their fitness and competitive goals. You give
so much of yourself on a daily basis to your friends,
family, and fellow competitors. You're truly an amazing
woman.
It is both an honor and a pleasure to work with you
and I value every piece of advice that you've given
me.
I hope that you are blessed with continued success in
your fitness career.
Your fan always,
Lorraine |

| TERRI BRAUN - LETTER TO OXYGEN |

Dear Editor:
I felt compelled to write and share a story with your
readers. On September 3 this year, on a whim, I sent
an e-mail to Jen Hendershot, IFBB Fitness Pro, with
a challenge at hand. I desperately needed a new routine
choreographed for a competition on October 12th. To
my amazement, she was very quick to respond, and by
September 4th I had a plane ticket in hand to fly out
on the 8th and meet with her in Columbus, Ohio. Jen
was training for the Olympia at the time, but she was
still more than eager to fit me into her schedule.
When I got to Columbus I found that Jen was more than
I had ever imagined she would be. Jen is incredibly
friendly, inspirational, motivational and energetic,
she has a wonderful enthusiasm for life and it carries
over into everything she does. Not only did Jen give
me an awesome routine in three days, she helped me with
walking, gave me tips on weight lifting, and dieting.
Jen also set me up with a make-up artist to learn how
to do make-up, as well as facilitating a meeting with
her seamstress, Tamara Oakley (tamara@bikiniguru.com).
I spent 3 hours with Tamara and in that time she designed
and fitted me for a routine outfit and a swimsuit. Both
were delivered to me timely, and fit perfectly - no
alterations needed. With Jen and Tamara’s help, I qualified
for the Fitness America Nationals at my October 12th
competition. This was a huge accomplishment for me as
my routine was only 4 weeks old.
My sincerest thanks, and gratitude, go out to Jen, and
to magazines such as Oxygen, that give us these role
models to aspire to.
Sincerely,
Terri Braun |

I have admired Jen's routines and physique since I first
became interested in fitness in 2000. I remember looking
at pictures in Oxygen Magazine and saying "I want to
look like that!" I never imagined back then that I would
actually get to know and spend time with Jen! I thought
she rocked before....now I know she does! She took me,
someone she hadn't met in person before, under her wing
the weekend of the 2002 Jan Tana and encouraged me through
the first competition jitters. She was also competing
that weekend so I feel extremely priviledged and honored
that she took time from her busy schedule for me. Jen
is a wonderful, caring person and I am so glad to call
her a friend! She is an excellent ambassador for the
sport of fitness!

 Jen,
thank you so much for all of the motivation you have
given me, it has really meant a lot. When my husband
and I first met you at the Natural Utah show, we could
not believe how down to earth you were and how nice
and helpful you were to us. My daughter Laycee especially
loved watching your routine. She was kicking her feet
and waving her arms and screaming, happily. The upbeat
music, the high-energy routine and awesome choreography
kept her entertained during the show. That's hard to
do when she' s only 5 months old. Thank you again for
all the time you spend answering all of my questions
and concerns. You really don't know how much it means
to have someone there that we can rely on and that knows
what to say. Hopefully Laycee will continue to grow
up and love fitness as our family does, and we'll send
her to you for her first routine. Thank you so much
for the "Kick Butt" routine that you gave me, I can't
wait for my first show.
- Lindsey & Laycee |
